The Soles Walking 4 Souls Grant supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations committed to raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, preventing fentanyl-related deaths, and educating communities on the risks of illicit drugs. This funding aims to empower organizations to create meaningful impact through education, outreach, and advocacy initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, organizations must:

  1. Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  2. Have a clear mission or initiative focused on fentanyl awareness, education, or advocacy.
  3. Operate within the state of Texas.
  4. Demonstrate financial accountability and sustainability.
  5. Submit a the application and detail how the grant funds will be used.

Grant Details

  • Grant Amount: From $500 to $2,500 per organization.
  • Eligible Expenses:
    • Community outreach events and programs.
    • Educational materials and campaigns.
    • Staff training or hiring educators.
    • Media and marketing expenses related to awareness initiatives.
    • Travel Expenses.
    • Other direct costs related to fentanyl awareness.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with the grant’s mission.
  • Innovation and creativity of the proposal.
  • Feasibility and clarity of the proposed project plan.
  • Potential for measurable community impact.
  • Sustainability and long-term benefits of the project.

Application Process

  1. Complete the grant application form by March 1st, 2025.
  2. Submit all required supporting documents.
  3. Applications will be reviewed by a committee, and recipients will be notified by April 1st.

Post-Grant Reporting Requirements

Recipients must submit a final report within 6 months after the award of the grant, including:

  • Summary of activities completed.
  • Outcomes achieved.
  • Financial accounting of how funds were spent.
  • Testimonials, photos, or media showcasing the project’s impact.
